“What’s in your Large CSA Share?”

 

Large/Biweekly Share

 

Sweet Corn – Bread and Butter

 

Tomatoes

 

Carnival or Festival Acorn Winter Squash

Oven Method: Cut the squash lengthwise in half. Take the seeds out of the cavity. Place the hollow cavity upwards. Put a tablespoon of butter and ¼ cup brown sugar in each half. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-40 minutes depending on your oven. The squash is fully cooked when you can easily put a fork threw it. Microwave method: Cut the squash lengthwise in half. Take the seeds out of the cavity. Place the hollow cavity upwards. Put a tablespoon of butter and ¼ cup brown sugar in each half.  You can cook your squash in the microwave for 10-20 minutes.

 

Red Bells – Easy to freeze, just wash and chop them.

 

Curly Kale

 

Watermelon

 

Gala Apples

 

Cucumber

 

Pears or Cantaloupe
